How does it work?

Throughout the entire process, heat is absorbed from the chilled water by the bundle. Then, the refrigerant flows back over the chilled water coils and absorbs more heat in the entire process.

  • Air cooler maintenance is less expensive compared to water-cooler.
  • Air-cooled chillers need more power to run well because they contain dry surfaces. And due to wet surface water, coolers are convenient for heat transfer.

  • Stationary air-cooled chillers-it is good to use when excess heat is not a problem.
  • Portable air-cooled chillers-it is a portable unit and functions similarly to stationary chillers.

Position of air-cooled chillers-

 

It is generally situated in the mechanical equipment room or in that area that becomes nearer to the cooling spot. However, based on the chiller size, it is placed outside or; beside the cooling area.
